The annual album art design contest sponsored by Boulder Colorado’s radio station, 97.3 KBCO, features the best live Studio C performances from that year. Volume 15 was the 2003 edition and my cd cover concept was a literal interpretation combining natural sound with digital sound. My role: concept, design, illustration and production. BOULDER, Colo. James Taylor has a history of firsts with KBCO. His 'Handy Man' was the first song that was played on KBCO in summer of 1977. This track was the first song on the first KBCO Studio-C CD and comes from his first album recorded back in 1968. Naturally James Taylor is the first artist on this Retrospective disc.Studio
Recorded November 21, 1991 2. Bodeans - 'Hurt by Love'
After four Studio-C sessions, an appearance at the KBCO Rock and Roll Auction, and many sold out KBCO shows, the Bodeans were ready for a return visit to debut some new music. This song has never been heard before this Retrospective CD, and is featured as a previously unreleased Studio-C recording.
Recorded April 21, 1995 3. Dave Matthews Band - 'Tripping Billlies'

Kbco Studio C Volume 30

As soon as we heard The Dave Matthews Band we know this would be among the most important new bands of the decadde. It was only natural that we invite them into Studio-C to give us an early taste of the great things to come..like their appearance at the KBCO Rock and Roll Auction later in the year and the filming of their music video at the Fox Theater, not to mention the string of sold out shows that have made Boulder the band's hottest market.
Recorded January 14, 1994 4. Melissa Etheridge - 'No Souveniers'
In the summer of 1988, Melissa Etheridge became the first artist to ever perform in KBCO's Studio-C. Five years later, she would join a group of performers who were boycotting our state because of the politics of Colorado's Amendment 2. This was recorded during a session that would be her only Colorado performance during the boycott.
Recorded August 27, 1993 5. Big Head Todd and the Monsters - 'Angel Leads Me On'
Long before the big record deals, the H.O.R.D.E. tours and the music videos, we knew Big Head Todd and the Monsters as Boulder's hottest local band. When the ideas for the first KBCO Studio-C charity CD were taking shape, it seemed natural to include 'Bittersweet' from their first session recorded for the 'KBCO Local Edition'. We didn't know it at the time, but the idea of including local talent on the charity discs would become a Studio-C tradition. This recording was captured during the 4th BHTM session.
Recorded December 27, 1994 6. Moody Blues - 'The Actor'
This rare acoustic performance with Justin Hayward and John Lodge was featured live from Studio C when the Moody Blues returned to Denver to celebrate the success of the famous Red Rocks concerts with the Colorado Symphony Orchestra. The concerts were filmed for television and later released on CD as 'A Night At Red Rocks'.
Recorded September 9, 1994 7. Sarah Mclachlan - 'Good Enough'
Studio C played host to this incredible singer twice in less than a year as her fan base in Colorado just would not let her stay away. 'What is it about Colorado?' was her question. We offer this intimate Studio C performance as our answer. Sarah's popularily was enough to sell out two back to back Paramount Theater shows and a night at Red Rocks.
Recorded March 7, 1995 8. Sonia Dada - 'Planes and Satellites'
This recording has never been released before this Retrospective CD. It is taken from the third Sonia Dada Studio C performance. Over the years, KBCO and Sonia Dada have developed a special friendship that has included an appearance at the 1995 KBCO Kinetics Sculpture Challenge and many sold out KBCO shows in Colorado. If you know Sonia Dada, you found out about them from KBCO.
Recorded November 2, 1995 9. Del Amitri - 'Driving With The Brakes On'
During the first visit from this Scottish act in 1992, we had to ask singer Justin Currie to sit on top of the turn table cabinet as we sque..

Dec 30, 2008. Does anybody know if I can tell the age of a Jap manufactured Classic Doubles - believed to be manufactured by Miroku, or is this not possible? Serial number CB2914. This is all I could find. Vic Harker was one person involved. Miroku age serial number. Mar 19, 2010. How old is my Miroku MK70 shotgun? The MK70 was introduced in the mid 1990s, so your gun can only be about 15 years old at the most. The real key to age is not the serial number alone, but the two letters which follow it.
